Introducing 2.6: An Improved Layout for Choices

Last week Gravity Forms 2.6 became available to all new and existing customers and we’ve been delighted with the response from our community!
With 2.6 you’ll find an array of new and improved features, including a reimagined form embed process, a relocated form Submit button, and an impressive redesign of the UI for Choices fields, as well as new merge tag search functionality, Ajax form saving, and more.
In this article, we’ll take a look at the improved layout for Choices based fields, which comes in the form of a fully-expandable Choices flyout, making for a far superior user experience than previously available. Let’s find out more…
A New Choices Flyout
Gravity Forms 2.6 ships with an impressive new Choices flyout that is responsive to page width. This flyout provides an accessible interface for managing the multiple values offered within Drop Down, Radio Buttons, and Checkbox fields, and is also utilized by Pricing and other advanced fields that offer Choices.
Up until now, editing the options within a multichoice field could be difficult due to the narrow sidebar and lack of space available, especially when viewing Values, or using an extensive number of Choices.
To combat this issue, we have designed the expandable Choices flyout that can open to full page width, giving you all the space you need to create, edit, and manage your Choices’ options within the form editor.
The Choices flyout also sees support for Bulk Choices, as well as our most popular third-party add-ons. And for our developers out there, you will now find it easier to inject other input fields into the Choices UI, creating a better user experience for all involved.

Get Started with Gravity Forms 2.6
Gravity Forms 2.6.1 is now available to all new and existing customers.
If you have an active Gravity Forms license, simply open your WordPress dashboard, head over to Plugins > Installed Plugins, and select Update Now next to Gravity Forms.
Equally, if you’d prefer, Gravity Forms 2.6.1 can also be downloaded from within your Gravity Forms dashboard.
And of course, the latest version of Gravity Forms is available to all new customers. Simply head over to our pricing page to pick the right plan for your form building needs and make a purchase.
Note: Caching and script optimization plugins and services have been known to cause problems with the functionality of forms when Gravity Forms is updated to the latest version. To counter this issue, we recommend clearing/flushing the caches and the browser cache following all updates.
