We are pleased to announce the release of Gravity Flow Stripe Extension 2.1.1. This version contains several updates including…
- Updated `Gravity_Flow_Field_Transaction_ID::get_value_entry_detail()` for compatibility with the change to `GF_Field::get_value_entry_detail()` in Gravity Forms 2.9.29.
- Updated the Transaction ID and Subscription ID fields so that they are not allowed to be added to a repeater
Build payment workflows your clients can count on
When you set up a custom order form for a client, the Stripe Extension lets you authorize the customer’s card at checkout and hold the charge until the order is approved. You choose where the approval step sits in the workflow, so the sign-off process fits the way each client already works.
Once the order is approved, a capture step collects the payment within Stripe’s seven-day authorization window. If plans change, the workflow cancels the authorization automatically after 7 days.
Gravity Flow Stripe Extension
The Gravity Flow Stripe Extension is built for teams that sell pre-orders, custom work, or services that need a review before money changes hands. It adds dedicated payment steps to Gravity Flow, so authorizing, capturing, canceling and refunding sit alongside your approval and user input steps rather than happening by hand in the Stripe dashboard.
Once a user submits a form, you can:
- Collect payment through Stripe.
- Wait for confirmation before continuing the workflow.
- Trigger conditional logic based on payment success or failure.
- Update records, notify team members, or assign follow-up tasks.
The Stripe extension handles recurring billing too, letting a workflow start a subscription after sign-off and end it later when a membership or service is closed out.
Key features include:
- Capture payment – collect a payment that was authorized when the form was first submitted.
- Cancel payment – void an authorization when a request doesn’t move forward.
- Refund payment – refund a payment made in the current entry or in a different entry.
- Checkout and subscription steps – request a payment or start a subscription after approval, then cancel the subscription in a later step.
- Wait for subscription event – pause the workflow until Stripe reports the subscription event you’ve selected.
- Transaction ID and Subscription ID fields – store payment references on the entry so refund and cancellation steps know exactly what to act on.
