We’re pleased to announce the release of Gravity Forms 3.1.1. This release includes a number of updates and fixes including…
- Added security enhancements.
- Added the gform_state_lifespan filter to allow modifying the lifespan of the state during validation.
- Added a new option to the Export Entries page to select the status for the entries to export.
Filter your exports by entry status
The Export Entries page now includes a status option, so you can choose which entries to include before you export – active, spam, or trash – instead of exporting everything and sorting it out afterward.

It’s a useful addition if you need a clean export without spam or trashed entries mixed in, or want a file of just the entries you’ve removed.

Gravity Forms 3.1.1 changelog
- Added security enhancements.
- Added the gform_state_lifespan filter to allow modifying the lifespan of the state during validation.
- Added a new option to the Export Entries page to select the status for the entries to export.
- Updated admin pages to use a scoped .gform-admin root wrapper and only add the .gform-admin body class on pages that use our components, reducing style conflicts in the WordPress admin.
- Updated the license check to always check for the GF_LICENSE_KEY constant first, then the license key stored in the database, and to prevent editing the license key on the settings page if it is set by the constant.
- Updated the MCP integration to use the canonical WordPress MCP Adapter package to avoid conflicts with other MCP-enabled plugins.
- Fixed an issue where personal data retention can time out when many entries match the retention policy by processing deletions in background batches.
- Fixed an issue where selecting a date using enter in the datepicker navigates (to the next field) and/or submits the form in a conversational form.
- Fixed a PHP warning that can appear when viewing the changelog.
- Fixed an issue that causes the Datepicker field F1 key and keyboard navigation to not work properly.
- Fixed an issue where the default country is not selected on form display when the gform_countries filter returns an indexed array. Recomendation: If you are using the gform_countries filter, update the callback to return an associative array using the country codes as the keys to the country names.
- Fixed an issue where selecting a date in the Datepicker could overwrite the configured minimum or maximum date.
- Fixed an issue that causes fields inside repeaters to have their labels hidden when the repeater field is configured with hidden labels.
- Fixed an issue that causes the button spinner to remain visible when an AJAX submission is aborted.
- Fixed a fatal error caused by filters not being prefixed in private mcp_adapter.
- Fixed an issue where expanded Forms and Feeds list rows are squished on mobile.
- Fixed an issue where the Gravity Forms Color Picker component override GenerateBlocks color picker styles in the block editor.
- Fixed a CSS validation error for form grid styles in Gravity Theme.
- Fixed a JavaScript error that occurs, preventing form display, when there is conditional logic based on the last name input of the Name field and the input is not present.
- API: Fixed an issue where GFFormsModel::get_current_page_url() can return the wrong URL when processing a submission via new Ajax and the site is using the “Referrer-Policy: no-referrer” header.
Gravity Forms 3.1.1.1 changelog
- Fixed an issue where the “value was sanitized” logging statement is recorded on form display for some field types when the field value is empty.
- Removed an extra slash from the Jetpack Autoloader file path used to include the canonical WordPress MCP Adapter package.
- Fixed an issue where the entry list star toggle is not accessible via keyboard and screen readers.
- Fixed an issue where the ‘Choose File’ button overlaps with the field border in conversational forms when using Safari.
- Adds the gform_addon_pages_using_components filter to allow modifying the add-on pages that use Gravity Forms components.
Gravity Forms 3.1.1.2 changelog
- Fixed an issue where the strings for the datepicker day initials are using the wrong translation function.
- Added merge tag modifiers for the Phone and Time fields so that phone numbers can be output without formatting and time values can be output as hour, minute, or am/pm.
- Updated the license key setting to be editable when GoDaddy is defining an expired starter license using the GF_LICENSE_KEY constant.
Note: After updating, clear your site’s cache to ensure you’re running the latest version. We also recommend excluding pages that include Gravity Forms from caching and script optimization, as cached form pages can interfere with dynamic population, field validation, honeypot, and add-ons that rely on time-sensitive tokens. Read our FAQ on Cache and Script Optimizer Issues for details and exclusion steps by host/plugin.
