Brand new release: User Registration 5.5.1

Brand new release User Registration 5.5.1

We’re pleased to announce the release of Gravity Forms User Registration v5.5.1. This update contains several additions, updates, and fixes, including…

  • Updated the Activate User browser alert to use the new Dialog UI.
  • Updated Create User & Update User icons to use the Gravity Forms icon library.
  • Updated the minimum required Gravity Forms version to 3.0.0.

Note: User Registration now requires Gravity Forms 3.0.0 or later – if you’re running an older version of core, update it first before updating this add-on.

Turn form submissions into WordPress accounts

The Gravity Forms User Registration feature turns any form into a registration journey – gather the details you need, take payment, and register users on your WordPress site.

Start from the built-in template, or simply add a Username and Email field to any form you’ve already built. From there, decide what happens on submission: charge for access through Stripe, PayPal, or Square, assign the right WordPress role automatically, or spin up a brand new site for the member on your multisite network.

Add the login widget to any page and returning members can sign back in without ever leaving the front end.

Key features of User Registration:

  • Versatile applications – Build registration forms for membership sites, community portals, and various other types of projects.
  • Seamless payment integration – Pair this add-on with our payment integrations to collect fees during registration or set up recurring subscriptions.
  • Effortless form publishing – Use the pre-built, customizable user registration template to quickly launch a registration form.
  • Custom user registration forms – Design unique registration forms with ease using Gravity Forms’ intuitive drag-and-drop editor.
  • User-Friendly login forms – Easily add login forms to your site with the built-in widget for seamless user access.
  • Multisite compatibility – Automatically generate new sites within a WordPress multisite network whenever a new user registers, streamlining site creation.

Note: User Registration is available with the Gravity Forms Elite license. For more information on the features and other add-ons available on this plan, check out the Elite license page.

  • Updated Create User & Update User icons to use the Gravity Forms icon library.
  • Updated the minimum required Gravity Forms version to 3.0.0.

If you are an Elite Gravity Forms license holder, User Registration can be updated to version 5.5.1 in your WordPress dashboard, or downloaded manually from your Gravity account.

Note: After updating, clear your site’s cache to ensure you’re running the latest version. We also recommend excluding pages that include Gravity Forms from caching and script optimization, as cached form pages can interfere with dynamic population, field validation, honeypot, and add-ons that rely on time-sensitive tokens.

Read our FAQ on Cache and Script Optimizer Issues for details and exclusion steps by host/plugin.
