Brand new release: reCAPTCHA 2.2.2

Brand new release reCAPTCHA 2.2.2

We’re pleased to announce that we have updated the Gravity Forms reCAPTCHA add-on. In version 2.2.2, you’ll find the following updates…

  • Added support for checkbox type to Enterprise keys via the new reCAPTCHA Checkbox field type.
  • Updated the entry spam note to include the reCAPTCHA score and the threshold at the time entry was marked as spam.
  • Updated the Enterprise key setting to include the key types.

Familiar verification for reCAPTCHA Enterprise (Checkbox)

The “I’m not a robot” checkbox is one of the most recognizable verification experiences on the web – and now it’s available for reCAPTCHA Enterprise users in Gravity Forms.

reCAPTCHA 2.2.2 checkbox field

The reCAPTCHA Checkbox field is available under Advanced Fields in the form editor, and works with Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise keys configured for the Checkbox challenge type.

Once a visitor completes the challenge, the verification result is cached for the duration of the form session to help reduce unnecessary interruptions, and the cache is automatically cleared after the entry is saved.

When using a Checkbox key, the traditional score-based assessment is replaced with the checkbox challenge for that form, making setup simple and predictable for site admins.

More insight into spam protection via Entries

Ever wondered why an entry was marked as spam? We’ve made it easier to understand what happened behind the scenes.

reCAPTCHA 2.2.2 entry note

Entry spam notes now include both the reCAPTCHA score and the threshold that was active when the entry was flagged. With more context at your fingertips, you can review submissions more confidently and fine-tune your spam protection settings with less guesswork.
