Gravity Forms is pleased to announce the release of the Partial Entries Add-On version 1.8.2. This release contains updates including…

- Updated the form settings to use a toggle switch for enabling partial entries.
Solve form abandonment with Partial Entries
Not every visitor who starts a form finishes it. The Gravity Forms Partial Entries feature allows you to capture form data automatically as visitors fill it out, so you still have their contact details even if they abandon the form entirely.
Instead of losing the lead, you get an opening to reach out and turn an incomplete submission into a conversation. Enable Partial Entries on any form, set your capture rules, and start recovering leads – setup takes minutes.
Key features of Partial Entries
- Automatic data capture – Saves form data automatically, giving you contact info even when users abandon the form.
- Capture rules – Use conditional logic to save only valuable partials, like entries where a visitor provided a name and email address.
- Abandoned form tracking – View partial submissions in your dashboard to see which fields cause drop-off and identify issues.
Where Partial Entries helps most
- Online stores and ecommerce – Recover abandoned checkouts by capturing customer details, then follow up with discounts or reminders to complete the purchase.
- Lead generation forms – Save contact information from incomplete submissions so your sales team has leads to follow up with.
- Multi-step registrations – Capture progress on long application forms and re-engage visitors who dropped off mid-process, helping them finish what they started.
For more information on setting up and using the add-on, visit the Gravity Forms documentation.
Note: The Partial Entries feature is available with the Gravity Forms Elite and Nonprofit licenses. Visit our pricing page for more information on the features and other add-ons available on each plan.

If you are an Elite or Nonprofit Gravity Forms license holder, Partial Entries can be updated to version 1.8.2 in your WordPress dashboard, or downloaded manually from your Gravity account.
Note: After updating, clear your site’s cache to ensure you’re running the latest version. We also recommend excluding pages that include Gravity Forms from caching and script optimization, as cached form pages can interfere with dynamic population, field validation, honeypot, and add-ons that rely on time-sensitive tokens.
Read our FAQ on Cache and Script Optimizer Issues for details and exclusion steps by host/plugin.
