Over the last few weeks, we have shared snapshots of the different features that you can expect when you update to Gravity Forms 2.7. In this article, we discuss the redesigned Setup Wizard, and look at how it streamlines the setup process for both new and existing customers.

A Redesigned Setup Wizard

First impressions are important, so we’ve redesigned our Setup Wizard from the ground up to provide a friendlier, smoother, and more streamlined Gravity Forms experience from the get-go.

The new Setup Wizard will enable customers to quickly get started and onboarded:

• New users can easily configure their Gravity Forms settings
• Existing customers will appreciate the faster setup time
• Agencies can opt to hide license details from clients

The Setup Wizard will walk you through activating your license, configuring global settings, and introduce you to the new Form Template Library.

Let’s Look at the New Setup Process!

With 2.7, the Setup Wizard will launch upon the installation of Gravity Forms. You will then need to follow the steps to complete the setup process.

The first step will see you enter your Gravity Forms license key and activate your license.

Step two will enable you to customize some global settings, including…

• Enabling or disabling automatic updates
• Selecting a currency
• Hiding license information (useful if you are installing Gravity Forms for a client)

Next, you will find some marketing-related questions, as well as the option of enabling additional data collection. This information helps us learn more about how our customers use Gravity Forms, and is in turn used to help us make informed decisions on the future of the product and its many integrations.

Finally, new users can check out the video provided within the Setup Wizard to help them build their first form using one of our many form templates. Equally, seasoned customers can simply jump into creating a new form from scratch!

Update to Gravity Forms 2.7 Today!

Gravity Forms 2.7.1 is now available to ALL customers with an active license!

To update to 2.7, open your WordPress Admin, head over to your plugins page, and click to Update to Gravity Forms 2.7.1.

Gravity Forms 2.7.1 can also be downloaded from within your Gravity Forms dashboard.

And of course, the latest version of Gravity Forms is available to all new customers. Simply head on over to our pricing page to pick the right plan for your form building needs and make a purchase.

Note: Caching and script optimization plugins and services have been known to cause problems with the functionality of forms when Gravity Forms is updated to the latest version. To counter this issue, we recommend clearing/flushing the caches and the browser cache following all updates.
