Using the Gravity Forms Consent Field

The Gravity Forms Consent field allows you to add a yes-or-no consent checkbox to your form, as well as a description of what the user is consenting to.

A Consent Field is great if you require user consent to something before a form can be submitted, such as a privacy policy.

Using the Consent Field is simple.

First, add the Consent field to a form you have that requires user consent.

Within the field settings, you can alter the Field Label and Checkbox Label to be more specific to your consent agreement.

Next, you can enter the consent agreement text within the description box.

This text will be displayed to the user and should be used to explain what the user is consenting to.

You can also choose to set this field to required, so that this form cannot be submitted unless the user consents to your agreement.

Additionally, when this form is submitted, the entry for this submission will record the state of the consent checkbox, either checked or not checked.

If the consent field was checked, the entry will also record the consent title and description as was displayed at the time of form submission.
