Gravity Forms By Gravity Forms Updated October, 14, 2025

Moderation-Add-On-1.3

We are pleased to announce that we’ve updated the Gravity Forms Moderation Add-On. With Moderation Add-On v1.3, you’ll find a number of additions, updates, and fixes…

  • Added the [`gform_moderation_score`](https://docs.gravityforms.com/gform_moderation_score/) filter, so the score can be overridden before it is saved to the entry meta.
  • Added a notice to the form level settings when the user’s Perspective API key is invalid/missing but custom toxic words are configured.
  • Updated the form settings page to allow custom words to be used without a Perspective API key.

Moderate and filter form entries based on toxicity

The Moderation Add-On gives you a powerful and convenient way to review, filter, or automatically handle toxic form submissions. It helps you create a safer environment by detecting harmful or abusive language before it reaches your inbox or team members.

You have complete control over how flagged entries are handled – choose to delete them immediately or send them to the Toxic entries box within your WordPress dashboard. This flexibility allows you to manage inappropriate content in the way that best fits your workflow.

Customize how toxicity is detected

The add-on provides granular control over what is considered toxic. You can:

  • Select toxicity attributes – Choose the types of content to filter, such as toxicity, insults, profanity, or threats.
  • Set a toxicity threshold – Define how strict or lenient your moderation should be, with a customizable scale from 0 (not toxic) to 1 (very toxic).
  • Add custom toxic words – Create your own list of flagged terms that will automatically mark an entry as toxic.
  • Decide how to handle flagged entries – Automatically delete toxic submissions or send them to a separate moderation list.

The Moderation Add-On is available on the Gravity Forms Elite and Nonprofit licenses.
